Arthur Rhinehart Jensen, 72, of Waimea, died March 9 in Waimea. Born in Honolulu he was a heavy equipment operator, farmer and U.S. Air Force veteran. Juana “Saning” Datuin Mendoza, 100, of Keaau died March 14 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Mapandan, Pangasinan, Philippines, she was retired from the former Royal Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Co., a seamstress and member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Keaau Nutrition Center. Visitation 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation again 9-10 a.m. Thursday, March 26, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Keaau. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Casual attire. Survived by son, Armando (Lisa) Mendoza of Hilo; daughter, Gloria (David Watson) Mendoza-Watson of Keaau; sisters-in-law, Caridad Dulay of Ewa Beach, Oahu, and Francesca Mendoza of Waianae, Oahu; a grandchild and two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The late Gertrude “Lei” Leilani Sato is survived by, among others, Irene Nahakuelua and Thelma (Walter) Spencer from Hilo. An incorrect hometown was submitted for an obituary published Wednesday.

Services for the late Tinson Kun Luey have been changed to visitation 8-10 a.m. Friday, March 27, at Kona Outdoor Circle at the request of the county Department of Parks and Recreation as the originally scheduled day, published in Wednesday’s edition, is the Kuhio Day holiday.
